At Terra Grove Academy, we view education as discipleship—an intentional journey of shaping the heart, mind, and character of each child in light of God’s truth. Our desire is to help students grow not only in knowledge, but in wisdom, humility, and Christlike maturity. Through both academic instruction and spiritual guidance, we cultivate a love for learning that is rooted in identity and guided by purpose.
-
Small Class Sizes
All classes will be capped at 16 students, allowing for stronger connections between teacher and students, increased engagement, and overall better classroom culture.
-
Parent Involvement
Parents will be considered the main educators of their student, and highly encouraged to work alongside the in-class learning that TGA offers. Volunteer opportunities in the classroom, group activities outside of class, and before and after school play time will foster a thriving community.
-
No Homework Policy
Since the same curriculum will be used at home and the classroom, no additional homework assignments will be given! Mondays and Wednesdays should take no longer than a few hours to complete with a flexible review and catch up day on Friday. Families can use their time for extra-curricular activities or to just enjoy being together!
-
School Learning - 2 Days a Week
Tuesdays & Thursdays are spent in class focused on hands-on, group-based learning. Outdoor play and learning time will also be a big part of your child’s day.
-
Home Learning - 3 Days a Week
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are spent learning at home using the provided curriculum. These days can be accomplished in just a few hours and can include extra-curricular activities.
-
No Attendance Policy
Traveling, family trips or spontaneous adventures enrich our lives and provide experiences that shape our education. Because we provide the same curriculum to be used at home that is used in the classroom, families are not held captive by a school schedule. This provides freedom to teach anywhere without worrying that your child might fall behind.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
